ExperienTial Learning
Not all learning takes place in a classroom. This section of my site is dedicated to experiential opportunities and extracurricular activities that have been valuable to my education.
All students in Interdisciplinary Honors are required to complete at least two experiential learning projects. These projects can be leadership, research, service, or international engagement.
For my experiential learning projects, I did a summer study abroad in Oxford and volunteered as an Honors 100 Peer Educator to teach incoming Honors freshmen. These two projects fell into the categories of international engagement and leadership respectively.
While they did not directly apply toward my Honors Experiential Learning requirement, I have also included my engineering internships on this page as well. Engineering classes are critical to learning the theory behind everything, but nothing competes with hands-on training for job experience.
